Reminders

Nobody likes to be kept waiting. We are all aware of this and try to adhere to appointment schedules. However, the unpredictable nature of medical practice means that doctors sometimes have to run behind time. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused to our patients when we are behind with our appointments.

Reminders for Breast Screening, Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Heart/Cholesterol, Osteoporosis, Pap Smears, and Prostate and health assessments are advised to patients by person/phone or letter.

Please Note: All Consultation are bulk billed including all mental health issues except medical examinations for taxi or pre-employment medicals.

Home Visits and After Hours

Are done by negotiation when the doctor is available. This is usually after the practice closes. Attendance at the practice is encouraged because facilities for assessment and treatments are more comprehensive.

After hour home visits are done by our Locum service in the evening. The following day after your home visit the locum reports back to this clinic in regards to the visit. You can call our locum service on 132660. All home visits are bulk billed.  Locums attend after hours medical problems at night and public holidays. In case of chest pain, urgent attention and known heart patients, ring for an ambulance on 000 or go straight to the hospital.

Contacting Doctor by phone

Phone calls from patients are assessed by the receptionist. Urgent calls are put straight through, for non-urgent calls we take a phone number and the Doctor will call back at the end of the session.

Suggestion Box & Patients Feedback

We have a suggestion box and a patient feedback form in our waiting room and encourage you to make any suggestions that would help us improve this service in any way. Thank you to all patients who have personally recommended their friends to our practice. It is greatly appreciated.

Children’s Health

We take particular interest in the health and well-being of babies, toddlers and younger children. Please make an appointment if you wish to discuss any issues in this area including routine vaccination. 

Privacy

This practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal health information. Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of the practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members and staff.

Transfer of medical records will incur a fee of $50

If collected personally by the patient than only $10
